Night Parade at 8:30pm on 29 November
Taking inspiration from The Adventures of Pinocchio by Italian author Carlo Collodi, a novel that sees the marionette encounter the Sly Fox and Cat, resist the temptations of the Land of Toys, and escape the belly of the terrible Dogfish. Will Pinocchio learn to be honest and brave, and find his way back to puppet maker Geppetto? Come along to Standard Chartered Arts in the Park Night Parade in Lee Gardens Area on 29 November at 8:30pm and find out whether Pinocchio can transform from a wooden puppet into a real boy!
Standard Chartered Arts in the Park “Night Parade” Transforms Lee Gardens Area into an Illuminated Stage
In 2013, we launched our first-ever Standard Chartered Arts in the Park “Night Parade”– a dazzling, world-class event featuring spectacular illuminated giant puppets. This year, after a break of seven years, the Night Parade returns – transforming the Lee Gardens Area in Causeway Bay into a dazzling stage on Saturday, 29 November. Starting at 8:30pm at Lee Garden One Main Entrance, the parade moves along Yun Ping Road, Pak Sha Road, Lee Garden Road and Kai Chiu Road to Hysan Place and back.
All the fabulous parade puppets and costumes on display at Standard Chartered Arts in the Park “Night Parade” are handcrafted by local Hong Kong artists. The parade features 5 glowing giant puppets and 8 extravagant twinkling carnival costumes created by 13 groups of local artists. Join us as night falls and watch Pinocchio, Geppetto, the Sly Fox, and the Dogfish, light up the city streets.
