Hysan Development presents【gLEEful Music Busking】programme in Lee Gardens.
Hysan is delighted to announce 【gLEEful Music Busking】 programme under Inclusive Culture and Art Series aiming to create an open stage where an array of musicians can perform through regular busking happenings. Hysan has collaborated with a number of local musicians to create a diverse and open music space in Lee Gardens. Various musicians will be featured in this programme to curate dynamic music and vibrant busking scenes in Lee Gardens area. Starting from 18 April (Thursday), every two weeks in the evening, enjoy the unique gLEEful moment.
Biography of singers
1.MastaClass feat. MastaMic
MastaClass is a rap course designed and founded by MastaMic. MastaMic holds the belief that hip hop culture has a transformative power to inspire everyone to embrace their unique dreams and believes in their ability to turn the seemingly unattainable into reality.
With their distinct style and originality, rappers from MastaClass will showcase their works reflecting local culture to articulate their persona and attitude through a series of charismatic performances.
2.金大細
金大細 is a singing duo consisting of twin sisters — Judith (金大) and Felix (金細) who share equal passion for music. With their similar yet distinct voices, they hope to spread joy through their harmonious melodies.
3.Laurie Lau
Laurie Lau is a local independent singer-songwriter. Since the release of his first single 《Lena》 in March 2021, he has released a total of four personal works as an independent music unit, including 《Am I supposed to say goodbye?》, 《Tonight I'll Escape》 and the recent solo single 《讓世界給我的傷疤默默化作花》. At the end of the year, he also participated in the stage musical 《HK: A Theatre of Life and Death》 by Zuni as a pianist, and then participated in the musicals as a music and performance line-up, including 《The Magic Flute》 and so on. After that, he worked as a music producer, producing the soundtrack and theme song for the Graduation Screening 2022 for APA School of Film and Television film, including 《One Night Legends》 and producing MMO for 《Youniverse》 of HOY TV. In late 2022, he was selected into Tier2 of the Microfilm Production Support Scheme (Music) and served as the music creation unit in the microfilm by composing the soundtrack and theme song.
4.Winter Bagels
Winter Bagels is an acoustic- pop girl band formed in Jan 2016, Kaki and Cup are both lead vocalist and guitarist. "Everyone is a bagel" : having a heart with simplicity , born to be genuine. Winter-borns decided to form a group in this cold season, using our music to fill up emptiness inside hearts. Enjoy our music like the special toppings on the bagel.
In 2016, the duo released their debut EP "Winter Bagels", bringing their EP to Eastern Europe for summer busking. After the trip, they have continued to perform in local music events actively. In 2023 the duo released a cassette 《FOLK YOU VERY MUCH- demos in the room》about embracing life and struggle. In May, they held their first-ever concert《FOLK YOU VERY MUCH Sunset Concert》and released a live concert recording EP.
